We at EConsulting™ are in the process of creating an eco–conscious company. It (like democracy) is a goal to be attained and everyday, we try to make business decisions that reflect the type of company we want to become. Being green is not enough and often times, those companies that flaunt their "greenness" are on the wrong side of the tracks and are part of the problem. The concept of "being green" has become mainstream and is sadly used for marketing rather than being the philosophy and principles that guide the business in its day–to–day actions.
We have been conscious of the actions we take, especially with regards to local and national initiatives. For example, when there was a call to action locally to use Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) bulbs we did not participate. In 2010, we wrote several articles for Peaceways newsletter as we could not continue to be a part of the problem and had to break our silence.
In 2009, we began our initial transformation and restructured to stay in–line with our core philosophy and vision. We are still undergoing a process of continuous improvement to become the best company that we can. In 2011, we plan to continue our work in the community (more...)
