The Peace and Global Citizenship Fair (Lexington, KY) ’
handouts on our business, (ecological) gardening, and heirloom seeds; and sold seeds and seedlings. In 2009, we sold container gardens and more seeds. We also disseminated new information on our business, (ecological) gardening, seed saving, heirloom seeds, and Open Source Software.
Health and Wellness Fair (Lexington, KY)
Obiora designed the layout (using the Open Source desktop publishing software, Scribus), helped to recruit participants, and organize the 2010 Health and Wellness Fair at Lexington Traditional Magnet School. At the Fair, we had seeds for sale, handouts on healthy living and gardening (they go "hand in hand"), and did an activity to help the students learn the plant origination of processed and raw foods. We also donated seeds for the door prize and card stock copies of an alternative food pyramid and HonestFoodGuide to post in the school.
